Recommendations for learning Common Lisp?

I've been thinking about learning Common Lisp. Any recommendations for a place to start? I've looked at PCL, but from the little I've read - that's not really my learning style, he glosses over too many details. I like to start from the fundamentals and build up, otherwise I feel like I'm not learning the nuances of the language.
