Is tranqullizing animals to mark, track, or test them the same as being abducted by aliens?

Say a polar bear is chillin on an icicle, along comes a human WHAM the p bear is knocked out-has whatever done to it-microchipped or something and then left to come to with no idea of what happened. Same deal with so called alien abductions yes or no?
